Made from a hardwood/pine mix ground to a fine texture, this mulch has a higher rate of decomposition than many of our other mulches. It has excellent water retention and can help prevent soil erosion. Use it in flowerbeds, vegetable gardens, and anywhere else where you want the mulch layer to rot down and provide organic nutrients to your plantings. Best if renewed each year.
This economical mulch contains a mixture of different barks and woods. Although it has a slightly higher rate of decomposition than many of our other mulches, it is good for areas where you need to retain water and prevent soil erosion. Works well on slopes and banks that can be eroded in heavy rains.

Discounted prices for large deliveries up to 20 cubic yards.
Course in texture, wood chips are excellent for preventing soil erosion. They can also be used for rustic walkways in gardens and wooded areas. As they age, wood chips become silvery in color and eventually decompose. Another use for them is as an economical layer under one of our premium mulches in areas that are being mulched for the first time. First lay down four to six inches of wood chips and then finish with two to four inches of premium mulch to achieve a very thick mulch layer at lower cost.
